This is the beginning of the activity...
It is Betty´s birthday. Betty´s friends are
coming to tea. On other days there are fewer people for tea and fewer things to
eat. So Betty´s mother needs less time to prepare the tea. However, it is not
difficult to make cakes and sandwiches. So today she is preparing more things
and nicer things for tea than on other day.
(Later, the same day)
Betty and her friends are having tea. Mary has
more sandwiches than Alice; Joe has fewer sandwiches than Bill. The chicken
sandwiches are very good but the other sandwiches are nicer. Joe cannot have a
lot of ice cream because the others want some too. Mary has less ice cream than
Joe. Alice has
more than Mary but less than Bill. Strawberry ice cream tastes nicer than
vanilla ice cream but it is not so good for the girls. It makes them fat.

hello Ricardo! Your blog is attractive for children and useful for teachers as you offer some links to other webs. Your Reading English post is carefully disaigned to practise Reading comprehension and irregular verbs. The post with the riddles is funny and motivating for children. Your Christmas post is always well received by children as they love it. Congratulations!
ReplyDeleteHello Ricardo. The document of your activity is very complete! Good job! It's a good way to read and make sure that children have understood the content. And also it's a good idea to use the reading for work around the verbs. For me the only thing missing is introduce some speaking practice in the exercise. One option could be make them compare their answers with their partner or introduce some questions to speak about it for example: what's your favourite ice cream? Do you prefer a cake or a sandwich?...
